Breaking the Code
By Hugh Whitemore
August 29-31, Sept 5-7 at 9:00 pm
Sept. 1 at 4:00 pm
The play tells the
story of Alan Turing, a brilliant mathematician, who devised the means of
cracking the German Enigma code which helped win World War II. Meanwhile, he
also “broke the code” by refusing to live a closeted life. Turing’s expansive
spirit embraced seeming contradictions: gay man and war hero, marathon runner
and Disney film fan. He envisioned a
universal machine and set the stage for modern computer technology.
Extremities
By William Mastrosimone
April 3-5, 10-12 at 9:00 pm
April 6 & 13 at 4:00 pm
The Associated Press described Extremities
as "a searing play about rape". The play is a stark and gripping
examination of ethics and morals, set against a background of violence and
victimization which questions our “natural responses” to profoundly impossible
circumstances.
