JACK FRY

Jack Fry, also known as “Mr. Fry” because of a previous work entitled They Call Me Mister Fry, is an award-winning playwright, actor, retired teacher, and one of our nation’s premier solo artists who lives in Santa Monica, California.

Jack’s show EINSTEIN! has been playing to sold out houses and standing ovations for over 10 years and is the longest running solo show (since Nov. 2014) in Los Angeles history. Recently EINSTEIN! had a sold out run at the Sierra Madre Playhouse and was selected in the Great Performances Series in Northampton, MA. The show won the Highest Grossing Show for the STEM Theater Festival in New York City and recently selected as the Encore Winner and Pick of the Fringe for the International Hollywood Fringe Festival.

Based on his NYC performances, Jack won Best Performance by DC Metro Theater critics in NY and Washington, DC and was selected as Best Actor of the London Fringe Festival for his portrayal of Albert Einstein by the London Free Press, Ontario.

Jack burst out on the solo scene with a one-man international hit called They Call Me Mister Fry which is autobiographical story about his first year teaching 5th grade in South Los Angeles. Mister Fry is a comedy/drama that has won several festival awards, playing four months off Broadway with two command performances for the Department of Education in Washington, DC and even received an endorsement from Stephen Colbert from The Colbert Report.

Jack has starred in various independent films and has been seen in TV and film productions. He has trained in Meinser, The Shakespeare Company, and Adam Roake’s Film Acting Lab. He has acted in and done voiceover work for over 30 educational films geared towards children and distributed in classrooms nationwide through Media, Inc.
