🎶 Blackbird Swings: The Beatles in Jazz

A Maggie Worsdale Concert Experience

APRIL 9 & 10
7:00PM

Following last summer’s sold-out hit Crazy About Patsy Cline, Maggie Worsdale returns to the Queen Street Playhouse Mainstage with a fresh and inspired tribute to The Beatles.

Known for her smoky, speakeasy style and thoughtful jazz interpretations, Maggie brings a new perspective to the music of the legendary Liverpool quartet. Blending classic jazz textures with the unforgettable melodies of The Beatles, she transforms beloved songs into soulful, swinging arrangements that feel both timeless and newly discovered.

This is more than a tribute — it’s a musical exploration. Maggie weaves in stories about the origins, influences, and creative spark behind the songs, offering insight into how this extraordinary catalog came to shape generations of music lovers.

Some selections honour the original arrangements, while others are delicately reimagined exclusively for this performance — intimate, unexpected, and entirely her own.

Elegant. Engaging. Unforgettable.

Experience The Beatles through a different lens — where melody meets mood, and Liverpool meets late-night jazz.

Tickets go on sale March 3rd

(ENCORE) CRAZY...ABOUT PATSY CLINE

ADDED SHOW JULY 12TH !

Back by popular demand! After its limited premiere run this weekend, Footlight favorite and renowned NYC cabaret singer Maggie Worsdale will bring her one woman tribute concert CRAZY…ABOUT PATSY CLINE back to the Queen Street Playhouse.

Our sold out audiences fell to pieces over this special musical tribute where Maggie pays loving tribute to the earthy and innovative legend who put the Nashville sound on the map and paved the way for future country singers. This tribute is not an imitation of Patsy Cline as Maggie’s performance is presented in a jazz/country style, multi-media concert singing Cline’s songs and sharing little known stories about her life and career.

So join us for a rollicking good time Saturday July 12th as we present an encore performance of this already beloved and nostalgic concert event!

Maggie is generously offering her talents free of charge to ensure that all concert proceeds directly benefit Footlight Players.

Join us at the Queen Street Playhouse for a special music event as Footlight favorite and renowned jazz and cabaret singer Maggie Worsdale pays tribute to the original ‘Queen of Country Music’ Patsy Cline in her one-woman concert CRAZY - About Patsy Cline.

Patsy Cline was born on September 8, 1932, in Winchester, Virginia. Cline performed for nearly a decade before her breakthrough 1957 television appearance, singing "Walking after Midnight." She went on to perform many crossover pop and country hits, including "Crazy" and "I Fall To Pieces," becoming one of the leading Nashville figures before her death in a plane crash in 1963, in Camden, Tennessee. 62 years after her death, Patsy Cline is still considered one of the top 5 female country singers of all time.

In this special musical tribute event Maggie Worsdale pays loving tribute to this earthy and innovative legend who put the Nashville sound on the map and paved the way for future country singers. This tribute is not an imitation of Patsy Cline as Maggie’s performance is presented in a jazz/country style, multi-media concert singing Cline’s songs and sharing little known stories about her life and career.
