CABARET AVAILABLE ROLES:
Master of Ceremonies (Emcee)
Host at the Kit Kat Club-- a gender-nonconforming-presenting, exuberant figure; comfortable with being close to the audience; dark, comedic, sinister, vulgar…yet lovable; requires a strong presence that is playful and mysterious. Must act, sing (some in German), move well, and be comfortable with bawdy/suggestive staging/choreography.

Sally Bowles
A British cabaret singer at the Kit Kat Club. Quirky and flighty. Struggles with knowing the darkness of the reality of her life and has woeful luck in her relationships with men. Must act, sing, and dance well; comfortable with moments of intimacy and bawdy/ suggestive staging/ choreography.

Clifford (Cliff) Bradshaw
An American novelist and English teacher traveling to Berlin. Through his journey he explores the many facets and complexities of his sexuality, politics, and artistic goals.) Must act and sing well, comfortable with stage movement, light dance, and moments of intimacy.

Fräulein Schneider
A landlady who rents rooms to Cliff, Sally, and several other characters in her large flat. She is alone and is resigned to her place in life, but secretly longs for companionship. She is very critical of some people while looking the other way with others; comfortable with stage movement and light dance (waltz). Must act and sing well; comfortable with moments of intimacy.

Herr Schultz
A Jewish fruit shop owner who falls in love with Fraulein Schneider; sweet, lovable, and adoring; heartbreakingly naïve about the political turmoil in Germany. Must act and sing well; comfortable with stage movement, light dance (waltz), and moments of intimacy.

Fräulein Kost (doubles as Kit Kat “Girl”)
A prostitute who rents in Fraulein Schneider's boarding house; larger than life personality, quick witted and sharp tongued; should be comfortable exhibiting a strong sexual and commanding nature; must act and move well and sing in German.

Ernst Ludwig
A friendly and likable German, takes English lessons from Cliff, and smuggles funds for the Nazi party; comfortable with stage movement and light dance (waltz); and sing in German.

The Kit Kat “Girls” & “Boys”
These performers are often in salacious situations and costumes. They are an eclectic mix of types and aren’t necessarily a matching unit. It is very important they act, sing, dance / move well and with confidence. They will be part of various scenes in and out of the Club; should be comfortable interacting with the audience and comfortable with bawdy/suggestive staging/choreography; also sing in German; some roles double as other acts in the club.

THE MOUSETRAP AVAILABLE ROLES:
Molly Ralson: Female; Age 20s to early 30s. New owner/hostess of Monkswell Manor; married to Giles for one year.
Giles Ralston: Male; Age 20s to early 30s. Owns Monkswell Manor with his wife Mollie.
Christopher Wren: Male; Age 20s to 30s. Wren is a young man who acts in a very peculiar manner.
Mrs. Boyle: Female; Age 40s to 60s. Mrs. Boyle is an imposing woman in a bad temper; she complains about everything. (Appears only in the first act)
Major Metcalf: Male; Age 40s to 60s. Major Metcalf is military in manner and bearing. He is friendly and very polite.
Miss Casewell: Female; Age 20s to 30s. A strange, aloof, somewhat masculine woman.
Mr. Paravacini: Male; Age 30s to 50s. A foreigner of unknown provenance who isn’t what he seems.
Sgt. Trotter: Male; Age 20s to 30s. Sergeant Trotter has been sent to ask questions in connection with a local murder.
A CHRISTMAS STORY ROLE AVAILABLE:
Mother: Female (Age 35- 50) vibrant, warm, and affable matriarch who keeps the family running, often juggling multiple tasks and maintaining a positive attitude despite the chaos, and she would never let The Old Man know she is more in charge than he is.
AMADEUS AVAILABLE ROLES:
Antonio Salieri (Male age 30-40 / plays age 75 as well) Court composer and later imperial chapel leader to Joseph II, emperor of Austria, Salieri is ambitious and has promised to dedicate his life and talents to God in return for fame as a composer. Once Mozart arrives on the scene and Salieri hears his exquisite work, he feels betrayed by God and lets his feelings of mediocrity, jealousy, and bitterness consume him. He vows to destroy Mozart as a way to get back at God.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Male age 20 - 30) A child prodigy from Salzburg, Austria, and a genius composer, Mozart is seeking a position in the emperor’s court. He is extravagant, arrogant, juvenile, foul-mouthed, and impulsive in social and political situations, but creates unbelievably remarkable music. He eventually loses support in court, and, unable to secure a steady income, becomes a poverty-stricken alcoholic and struggles to survive.
Constanze Weber (Female, age 19-29) Mozart’s wife whom he married against his father’s wishes, Weber loves and supports him in his work through every humiliation and hardship. Though both are cavalier and juvenile, she is more responsible and practical and even willing to sacrifice herself for him.
Joseph II (Male, age 30-40) Emperor of Austria and brother of Marie Antoinette, JosepH II enjoys and supports Mozart’s music but is ultimately persuaded by Salieri and others at court to cut him off.
Count Johann Kilian Von Strack: (Male, age 30-55) groom of the Imperial Chamber; stiff and proper; humorless; official to the bone.
Count Franz Orsini-Rosenberg (Male, age 30-55) director of the Imperial Opera; supercilious opera director; grand and slightly pretentious.
Baron Gottfried Van Swieten (Male, age 30-55) prefect of the Imperial Library; solemn and lacking any sense of humor; dogmatic.
Venticello (2 parts) (Age 25-40) “Little Winds”: purveyors of information, gossip, and rumor; absolute need for chemistry and impeccable timing; the two Venticelli often act as one mind; ability to move well/fluidly is a must.
Katharina (Age 20 - 30) A beautiful singer, Salieri’s student, who performs for Mozart. She should be young and lovely, and the actor does not need to be able to sing. (Non-speaking role).
Ensemble (Various ages) The cast will also feature a number of Citizens of Vienna. These actors will play a number of non-speaking roles (Salieri’s valet, cook, wife, a priest, Giuseppe Bono, citizens of Vienna and servants.) These parts will create an ensemble and chorus that together drive the action of the play.
THE ODD COUPLE (Female Version) AVAILABLE ROLES
Olive Madison, (Age 30+) Olive is a successful television producer. She is intelligent, wisecracking, with a good sense of humor – and she’s a complete slob when it comes to her surroundings. She has an encyclopedic understanding of sports, is a good friend and a complete pushover for her ex-husband.
Florence Unger, (Age 30+) Florence is very well groomed, neat and has just broken up with her husband. She takes herself very seriously, likes to clean, decorate and cook and is very good at all three (obsessively so). Flo is also intelligent, warm-hearted (in her own way), and has no sense of humor (at least about herself) – she does NOT make jokes. She can also, without meaning to, make Olive feel guilty.
Sylvie, (Age 30+) Sylvie is desperately trying to stop smoking, and so sucks on lollipops or chews gum. She can get irritated with her friends, but has a good sense of humor, especially about her husband.
Mickey, (Age 30+) Mickey is a police officer, who is down-to-earth, plain talking, and has a good understanding of people. Sometimes she can take the “police bit” too far and she tries very hard to be in control of all situations.
Renee, (Age 30+) Renee is Sylvie’s best friend. She can be very plain-spoken, especially when she points out Olive’s failings as a hostess, and then Flo’s. She is single and dating a doctor.
Vera, (Age 30+) Vera is very sweet, very nice, somewhat spacey, and, although quite smart, is often a step or two behind her friends. She’s very funny but doesn’t realize it. She is married to Harry.
Manolo Costazuela, (Age 30-40) Manolo is handsome, very well groomed, and Spanish. He is every woman’s dream date and showers both Olive and Flo with attention. He must have good comic timing, as he gets VERY emotional. He is sensitive and appreciates Florence’s sensitivity.
Jesus Costazuela, (Age 30-40) Jesus is Manolo’s younger brother, who is also very handsome, well-groomed, excellent posture, very romantic, and he also gets very emotional, and truly appreciates Florence.
COMPANY AVAILABLE ROLES
ROBERT Lead Role: Male (30 to 35) The story’s protagonist, he is a keen observer who appears happy but holds pain in his heart. He is the only one of his friends still single. Terrified of marriage and fears a lifelong loneliness.

SARAH Ensemble: female (30 to 40) Harry’s hyper critical wife. She is an avid learner of karate and tends to overeat. Open, accepting, and full of love.

Sarah’s husband. He is a recovering alcoholic continually falling off the wagon. Believes the advantages of marriage outweigh the disadvantages.

A delicate southern belle. Peter’s wife and ex-wife. Motherly in her affections towards Robert.

Susan’s husband. The perfect husband and ex-husband. He is very liberal in his view of relationships.

JENNY Ensemble: female (30 to 40)
Quietly manipulative, simultaneously square and wise. Loves her husband, David, and will indulge him sometimes.

Jenny’s husband, he is relaxed and always in control. Believes a man should be married and that the sacrifice of freedom is worth what you get in return.

AMY Ensemble: female (25 to 35)
A frantic neurotic engaged to Paul but terrified of marriage. After a mental breakdown, she finally realizes that Paul is, in fact, her soulmate.

PAUL Ensemble: male (30 to 40)
Amy’s fiancé. Mildly clingy, but patient to her neurotic nature. He is fully committed to the idea of marriage and encourages Robert to do the same.

JOANNE Ensemble: female (40 to 50)
Acerbic, demanding, and blunt. Too old to be part of the young crowd, but not old enough to be part of the older crowd. Puts on a brassy front that melts when she is alone with her husband.

LARRY Ensemble: male (45 to 55)
Joanne’s husband. He is stoic and centered but has moments of goofiness. Indulges his wife’s behavior but knows when to put his foot down.

MARTA Ensemble: female (20 to 30)
A girlfriend of Robert’s. Intensely modern, who is seeking adventure and excitement in the city.

KATHY Ensemble: female (25 to 35)
An old girlfriend of Robert’s, who is now considered a good friend. She plans to leave the city for a life of domesticity. Sweet and loving.

A girlfriend of Robert’s. She is a flight attendant who came to New York to live in Radio City. Ditzy and adorable.
